Meet students from Switzerland’s top universities


ETH Zürich is an internationally renowned university focused on education and research in the fields of science, technology and mathematics. The Institution is consistently ranked among the top 10 universities in the world and attracts students and scientists from over 120 countries. 21 Nobel laureates and two Fields Medalists have been affiliated with ETH Zürich, probably most famously Albert Einstein.
Since the 1990s, ETH Zürich has been actively supporting the foundation of companies resulting in more than 400 spin-offs. As most of the companies develop promising products that also attract many investors, alone in 2019 more than CHF 640 million have been invested.


EPFL, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, is ETH’s sister university in the French-speaking region of Switzerland. Renowned internationally for the quality of its research, it is also home to the Innovation Park, a dynamic ecosystem for high tech companies. In recent years, a great deal of efforts have gone into promoting entrepreneurship on campus, which is considered by EPFL as an essential part of its research.


The University of St.Gallen, better known under its abbreviation HSG, is among the world’s leading business schools. The faculty for business administration is the largest of the whole German-speaking region. Over 3000 employees are creating an inspiring learning atmosphere for the 9000 HSG students. Furthermore, over 100 startup companies have been founded at HSG, many of them outperforming their competition.
